Vita

Ines Thobe studied social sciences at the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg (diploma in Social Sciences in 2009) with a focus on country and regional sociology.


Between 2005 and 2006 she studied abroad at the University of Faro, Portugal.


Since 2009, she is working as a researcher for the GWS. After a training in macro-economic modeling (2011), she is working - amongst others - on the industry forecasting model SPARTEN.


Her key interests lie on socio-economic research areas related to sustainability, education and gainful employment. Within the scope of her work she is concerned with industry analysis and forecasts as well as with the effects of demographic change on the labour market with regard to industries and jobs.
