Loreto Bieritz is managing director of GWS since 2021.
She holds a degree in Regional Studies of Latin America from the University of Cologne. During her studies abroad in 1997, she deepened her skills in Public Affairs at the University of Chile in Santiago de Chile.
Between 2000 and 2002, she was working in federal politics, followed by an occupational activity as an information manager at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin for the research areas North and Latin America as well as for the EU’s Economic Policy.
Since November 2008, she is a researcher at GWS in the division of Economic and Social Affairs. Within the long-standing project of sector analysis and forecasting, she is in charge of the project management. Furthermore Loreto Bieritz she is entrusted with the development and application of macroeconometric models.
