Prosumer households in the energy system: energy-related and economic effects

Following the expansion of renewable energies households are increasingly providing their own heat and electricity. Prosumer households consume at least a portion of the energy they produce themselves. The GWS Discussion Paper 15/14 provides an overview of the basic interdependencies and effects of prosumer households on economic and energy variables. These different types of prosumer households are integrated in the model PANTA RHEI and exemplary model calculations are performed.
