Online meeting to prepare the upcoming training on "Modelling the economic impacts of climate change and adaptation measures”
At this meeting as part of the Climate-Resilient Economic Development (CRED) project, a brief overview of climate risks in Kazakhstan and possible adaptation measures was given, which will be deepened and further discussed in a 5-day training course in December 2020. To quantify the economic consequences of climate change and possible adaptation measures to climate change, the model e3.kz is being developed jointly with GWS and the Economic Research Institute (ERI). This model is used to identify adaptation measures that can reduce or even prevent the effects of climate risks such as droughts and floods by means of scenario analysis.
