Doris Bünemann studied European Business Administration with the focus on marketing at the University of Applied Sciences in Münster and the Humberside Business School in Kingston upon Hull/U.K. (degrees: Diplom Betriebswirtin /BA Hons. European Business Studies). She started her professional career with Gemini Consulting, where she was involved in projects focusing on organisation, marketing and sales topics for customers from the consumer goods industry and the trade sector.
Starting in 1994, she worked for over ten years in the International Marketing and Business Development divisions at Cosmopolitan Cosmetics, a manufacturer of fine fragrances and cosmetics. There, she was entrusted with the product development and marketing of fragrances, the search for new license partners as well as the implementation of strategic projects for the board.
Since December 2009 Doris Bünemann works as a researcher in the GWS division ‘Economics and Social Affairs’. She mainly works on industry analyses for various industry sectors such as the textile, clothing and leather industry, furniture industry, paper and print industry as well as service sector industries including the hotel business, catering, publishing, research and development, education and personal services like hairdressing and cosmetics.
